I think I understand where you are coming from. The tombs on their own are but large mounds of grass. The idea was to show this very neat tree with an interesting background...

I thought the tree in this sense had some artistic merit...

IMHO it's too busy with nowhere for the eyes to settle on. I take on board what Symes says but I personally don't think it works. The trees themselves would make a very nice subject on their own, say, with the knarled branches revealing their texture.
