This is a waterfall in the middle of Waikiki - Honolulu Hawaii the photo was taken around 5 pm when the sun was just hidden behind a building a block away - befor ethis time the sun creates either to much light or to much shadow -

to get this shot i used a tripod and a remote shutter controll on my canon 300D (yes i know its dated but it works and i liek to look at what im taking a photo of and not the LCD )

i had to spend about 30 mins before hand clearing the shot of dead leaves and littler but i think its worth it

CC wanted - i use this as the front side of my buisniss cards

When you say front of your business card, I assume you mean one full side. For me I think the picture is to close up...a wider angle would provide a better scale to capture the "scene".

It would also mean that while your info is horizontal, the picture on the back would be vertical (on a typical card). Also, I would not use a nature shot unless that is what your specialty is.

My humble opinion.

Big call on the title.
I think a ND or CPL filter would have been really useful. If neither was available then stop down as far as possible for the longest exp possible

for my cards i use a full 6x8 on the front it has that on the abck it has 1/2 for info (like a postcard and then the other half is a portrait shot

i wanted my cards to grab attention - not be put in wallets - so a full size photo dose just that

- and i do agree about the wider angel - i might try retake this shot

the title is more about the water fall then m,y shot - the waterfall is an amazing site - most people walk past it everyday and dont even notice it -

if only people slowed down to see whats around them -

Seems to have lost the highlights in the water itself?

the way i make money from my photos is i take them in waikiki for people - give them a card with photo number and website adress and then they can go there view it and buy it if they like it.
