Agreed, it's quite dark. Turn your monitor brightness down.

on my uncalibrated (used for gameing) it looks dark

Sometimes dark is ok, but this doesn't create a working "dark" space for me. Might also use a little sharpening... I'm looking around trying to find something in focus with some detail of the flowers - made more difficult by the low brightness - but everything looks at least a bit blurry which is frustrating. By angling the camera relatively horizontally, you're also begging the question "what's behind the flowers"... it may be obscured by the low brightness but, again, that creates frustration. I'd suggest angling the camera a little more steeply down so flowers reach the top of the frame. Some specific point of focus would help too, an insect, twig, whatever....

Awesome start. Heres a little help....
1. I agree with others that the whole image is under-exposed and flat.
2. This is a personal taste but maybe try achieving a greater depth of field since there is so much of the subject?
