Downtown Bird Shots

Hello all, I had a chance to get out yesterday and take a few shots while dodging the rain. Below are two pictures of pigeons that for some reason stood out after I looked at all the pictures. Nothing has been done to them PS/LR-wise besides my name being added. Please give me some ideas on what to do with them i.e. cropping, lighting. Thanks

I like #1 a lot. The curve of the bird's neck, the details, and its posture are pleasing. #2 doesn't do a lot for me. Both seem a bit overexposed, though. Thanks for sharing!

I like no 1 as well, really nice, no 2 just looks like a drowned rat !!

I do appreciate all of the input from you guys. I did adjust the exposure level in PS for both of the shots and it does look much better. Thank you all once again.
