Weather was terrible.

If you want to know what its like to fly one of these in combat have a look for a book called Apache by Ed Macy. He was a British Apache pilot in Afghanistan, its an insane read.

You shot these with Canon 75-300mm USMIII?

You shot these with Canon 75-300mm USMIII?

Yes, sadly! Can't afford anything better at the moment. This lens coupled with my bad ability to get crisp pictures at slower shutter speeds is a pain.

I do struggle with slow shutter speed, dull weather and camera shakey hand syndrome
I keep meaning to use a tripod for these kind of shots to get them crisper but it inhibits my motion when they take off.

Thanks for the comments guys.

FARP? Where's the bladders
Never had the luxury of a tanker in my time.
Cool shots still :)

Haven't seen the bladders for a while now! The Oshkosh tankers are a new addition (well sort of) and provide not only Aviation fuel but water, lubircants and so on for both aviation and vehicles.
