Hi all,

Looking for some lighting & backdrop advice for an upcoming shoot. I'm going to be taking team pics as well as individuals using this studio pictured below. I believe there are 10-12 teams, which the largest team has around 15-16 kids.

Lighting

Currently have:
1 speedlight - 580exII
2 genesis 400 strobes (kit) includes 2 umbrellas, stands.
2 PW Plus II transceivers

I have never shot teams like this in a studio, so looking for tips on lighting setup.

Backdrop
No backdrop yet, currently looking. Here's one (http://www.adorama.com/BD520L.html) I was looking at thinking something neutral would be best. I mentioned a white backdrop, but they wanted something other than white. I know for sure each team will have different colors outfits. Any opinions on a neutral color?

Should I setup side panels as well to close things in? I've seen this done in open spaces like this.

Of course I'd also need something to hold it up, so was looking at this (http://www.adorama.com/FPBS13.html).

Here are the pics of the studio, looking left to right. Does any wall look better or worse to setup? I guess if I'm setting up a backdrop, shouldn't make a difference, right? Although the side with the TV's coming down from the ceiling, may not work on that side.

Thanks for any advice, I'm going to need it!

Not sure John, but I may have one of these coming up soon, so I'd be interested in any feedback.

Don't try to shoot with ETTL flash into the mirror where you see yourself in the reflection!!! It will be horribly fooled, and you will have horribly exposed shots.

I suggest shooting with your back at the mirror if you must use ETTL due to too little photographic knowledge and experience.

Thanks, I plan to setup a backdrop so the mirror shouldn't come into play.
