Matt Pike is a metal monster...there's no other way to put it. this is the 2nd time i've shot this band, and it makes me want to sell a kidney so i can see the original Sleep play their only reformed show in England later this year (also features Al Cisneros and Chris Hakius of Om). the man can shred his 9 string guitar like no other.

Not a bad set all all, though the lighting seems to be all on or all off. 3 is a really cool action shot.

Ah, I am living proof that you don't have to know anything to make money from it!

Edit: Holy Crap ... "Death is this Communion" ... nope, can't listen that ... way too heavy for me!

1, 3, and 4 are awesome shots. I really like the composition on 4.

However, 2 and 5 look soft / off somehow.

1, 3, and 4 are awesome shots. I really like the composition on 4.

However, 2 and 5 look soft / off somehow.

as purelyswift noted, the lighting was pretty variable, and usually of the dreaded magenta color...i tried desaturating #2 to bring out some detail, and on both shots the guitar's pretty sharp...maybe i had AF lock error. i think that part of the issue is that matt's face is fairly dark and covered in sweaty hair in both.
