Oh no Marie that first one shows me your camera has been spending to much time in the pub.

Those are great shots. However I can't help but think that the bronzy ladies were very rude to sit right down between the lovely elderly couple, the nerve.

Sandy , I went * backwards forwards and sideways on different days to try and get a shot of that narrow building in between the others

they came out slanted. backwards ...wonky

this was the only way I could show them all ................

without distortionhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

the two stiff ladies left their shopping bag on the ground
they are even stiffer

I think the lady on the right is eyeing up the bags
but does not know they are a permanant fixture .. stuck to the ground...
just like the chatting bronze ladies

the avatar is a perfect duck in this case

have you some of those buildings over there Jim?

I had to do it (screw the picture)
and the cyclelogicial bicycle shop convinced me to do it
go the whole way.
warpedhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif

the other way the buildings leaned back so far
I'd have hurt your back
I hurt my own...taking the shotshttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

edit later

here is one other shot of what I was trying to do

I wanted to show that narrow building
and also show some of the buildings on either side

the royal blue 'just cuts' shop is a horrible colourhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif

Marie I love the first shot, it has so much whimsy to it. The last one just doesn't show the buildings so I can see why you did what you did. I will say the blue does jump out at you.  Course the door on the skinny grey building is the same LOUD blue. I can hear it all the way over here :eyes  :eyes

I agree, thanks Sandy

I think the door of the skinny building, being beside the 'just cuts' splash :eyes makes the skinny building door look worse then it really is though
