BKC: Northern Illinois @ Toledo (03.08.2009)

For the final home game of the season, the University of Toledo Rockets hosted the Northern Illinois Huskies at Savage Arena on a wet Sunday afternoon in Toledo. Led by freshman Justin Anyijong and senior Jonathan Amos, the Rockets held on to win 74-69.

For this batch, I shot most using 1/500 @ f/2.8 ISO 1000. Bumped reds slightly, blues and yellows very slightly, and adjusted levels. On to the MAC Championships this weekend; will be covering the men's semis and finals... hope I can get into the BG/UT women's game on Saturday (if it comes to be). I'm not sure if my credential is for both men's and women's, or men's only, but that will be an epic game.

Nice catch on #2 Nate. #1 looks good but since you don't have feet, I'd crop the whole thing tighter and get rid of the guy on the right as well. When you coming in to Cleveland for the MAC's? I have a quarter final omen's game on Weds but our home season is probably about over. Men face Butler tomorrow night for the HL Champs. Gonna be a tough one.

Thanks Scott. Not a bad suggestion on #2... I agree that without the feet of the defender I should have cropped it further. I also wish I would have adjusted my settings for #6 so his arm/finger wasn't out of focus.

I'll be heading over to Cleveland Friday morning... should arrive sometime in the early afternoon. I've got to head over to the arena to pickup my credentials, and I think the Mac Report Online crew is getting together to discuss the gameplan for the semis and finals. Unless I can get into the women's games, I've got pretty much all of Saturday to rest and relax. As I said, the UT/BG women's game should be a great one if they both make it.

Do you happen to know if the Dodd Camera downtown has ThinkTank bags in stock? I've been thinking about picking up one of their Airport backpacks but would love to see one in person first, and I might have some time on Saturday to go take a look.

It's a decent sized store and they do stock a lot of gear like that. Definitely swing by there. If you find yourself with any time to kill Friday, drop me a line and we can hook up for lunch or something. I'm less than a block from the arena.
