I have it and no problems encountered with running or installation. Seems totally stable.

I downloaded it. Before I install it I will wait to see how many people have used it. Having ISO 3200 would be nice. What worries me is if the camera needs warranty work and the firmware can't be reinstalled to the original version.

I installed the latest version of UnDutchables over top of the Wasia hack, works fine, does what is advertised.

Don't worry about being able to install the old firmware, it flashes back on with no problem. Just make sure you have a well charged battery, any firmware flash can go horribly wrong if the battery dies part way through.

Get a copy of the original Canon firmware from the Canon site and keep it on your hard drive, if you need to send the camera back under warranty, you can reload it and then switch back when it is returned.

Mine has been out of warranty for a while, so I don't worry about it.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. Probably install the hack soon.

If you reinstall the factory firmware back on, make sure you turn the settings on the hack back to the factory default on the custom menus before attempting the reinstall. One thing you might get is a blinking red-eye icon afterwards. That means something didn't check right on startup. To remove it, take out all the batteries from the camera. The memory battery is in the main battery compartment. Just slide it out and back in. It SHOULD go away.

Does that hack allow full time, fully functioning Servo yet?

Why is it that we have to get a hack to get the functionality that is obviously already buit-in to the camera? I for one would actally pay Canon (a little) to have an official firmware from them that does all that we want / need / know the camera can do. Does anyone have any idea why Canon never even tried to unlock some of the goodies that are locked away in the D300?

Manual/Auto Focus is now relegated to the left button, and when in AI Servo, clicking the left button will fire the camera. Kind of awkward, id guess....I can’t use it anyway; I shoot with my left eye, effectively blocking the left button with my nose.

Easy... money :)
Why give people with the 300D that option, when they can make more money having a consumer buy a 10D, 20D or 1 series camera (or now the 350XT).
If my 300D had all those features already, I may not have sold mine and bought the 20D.
