Has anyone had this problem? I download my pics using Downloader Pro and the EXIF data shows the lens I used, i.e. 24-70mm. ONce I convert to RAW and work in PS then save as a jpeg, the only information about the lens is the focal length, but not the lens type.
How can I fix this?

Are you taking them as RAW or JPG? Your statement "I convert to RAW" doesn't make any sense to me.
I didn't know the EXIF data held the lens type in either case.

Sorry for the confusion. I convert the RAW to TIFF in Breezebrowser and the EXIF data follows just fine. When I'm done in Photoshop I save it as a jpeg. Then, when I open the saved jpeg with Breezebrowser, the lens type is missing, with just the focal length remaining.

I'll be interested to see if anyone can help you out. I've never seen any program report the lens type in any program, I didn't know it was possible.

I've checked my copy of breezebrowser Pro and the exif information doesn't give you the lens type. It does give you the focal length that the image was shot at. Are you referring to this??

i have wondered this myself and found out that it is right after the conversion stage this info is gone. i have used canons DPP and/or Breeze Browser Pro to convert from .cr2/crw files into .tif/jpg. right after conversion if you look at the info from within windows it does not have the focul legnth abilities that it shows here in DPP and BBP which is what i think the original poster is asking...

even if you use DPP or BBP to view the newly created .tif/.jpg you lose the lens focul length info. but the original .cr2/.crw file will have that info viewable in either DPP or BBP, just not after initial conversion.
it took me a while to find a raw file with a zoom lens as i have only shot primes for so long, your used to just seeing the focul length, but i knew right away what dougsturgess was referring to. sorry i dont have a solution except that in PS you can go into the file info and add that but thats not a true solution.
