Just wondering how other G3 users customise these 2 shooting modes. I have only had my camera 2 days and am interested in any useful settings to store here.

C1 I thought I'd keep set to manual focus of about 1.5-2m at F8, enabling instant snaps outdoors of most things without having to worry about focussing, for times when theres many brief photo opportunities. I also lower the resolution for that mode, to increase the capacity when shooting that way, seeing shots like that would mostly end up being emailed to friends rather than printed.

I havent thought of a setting for C2 yet.

So far I think this camera is awesome and am looking forward to learning to use it to its potential.

I shoot in the studio along with my film cameras.

C1 = Superfine, Flash [Off], f 8.0, 1/125 second and auto-rotate [Off], ISO 100, set in [Manual] mode

C2 = Same as [C1] but RAW

The internal flash is [Off] because I am using studio strobes. The auto-rotate is [Off] because it is on a tripod and I don't want have to rotate my head to see what the proof looks like.

C1: I use this as a "Landscape" mode, with ASA set to 50 and focus locked on infinity, AV mode set at f5.

C2: This is my "Nightshot" mode, with ASA set to 50, focus on infinty, remote enabled, TV mode with shutter set for 1/2 second (as a start; I'll adjust this as necessary).
