HI Everyone,

I just got my A40. I managed to transferr an AVI file that I recored to my PC. But the problem is that I can't play those files. I try to open those file with Windows Media Player ver 7.1 , but it didn't play the video, it give a message saying "sending request for decoder" and plays only the sound.
Did any one faced a problem like that?
I would appreciate if you could tell me how to solve this issue.
Thanks in advance

The A40 uses the M-JPEG codec to compress the video. There are several discussions about which codec to use, but I prefer the PicVideo codec.

I had a similar problem. So I installed QuickTime V5 that came on the Canon Solutions Disk (did you get this with your camera?) and this allows me to watch and hear the videos I've recorded. Hope this helps.
