Shot this with my son this afternoon - they are building a new walkway on the beach about a block from our house. Shot with S1, f8, converted to B&W & cropped. Second without the crop - which do you like better?

Sky's a little blown out for me on the second.

And for what it's worth, I tend to like to kick junk out of the way...meaning the scrap wood. I don't know what your personal feelings are towards that sort of thing, but I usually tend to concern myself with the final image and conveying what I decide in the final print rather than what occurs naturally. Some people have a problem with that, so I suppose it's okay to leave them.

Then again, you might have wanted the scraps in there and maybe even put them in yourself...

Thanks, I agree Jaertx - but was too lazy to move all the wood! Just liked the perspctive of the wooden columns "moving together" in the distance...
