BORING!!!!! Get in closer. Just because you are going to make a .gif doesn't mean composition is out the window. My five year old sister could shoot that sequence.

Is that better or worse that saying your 95 year old grandmother could do it?

I was actually serious. My five year old sister could shoot that. She's not bad. My grandmother isn't 95 but she probablly could too.

I was standing on the edge of a loading dock. I wasn't going to shoot it from behind him and I wasn't going to shoot where you couldn't see the run up and the landing. It's a sequence for christ's sake.

Option 1.
Sit on the railing and get close so he goes by you.
Option 2.
Don't post crappy stuff on the internet and expect accolades. I hate people like you. Go back to your buddies and have them praise your crap.

Haha I'm not normally this harsh. Lately though I keep coming across guys like this and it's starting to really piss me off. I shoot skateboarding so I'm a rebel photographer. It's really annoying.

Funny how different people look at things...
All I see is a kid who's going to bust his ass and who's parents will sue the store making prices go up.
Sux becoming "that' crotchety old guy...

How are you going to judge him and compare bergdoll to guys that you hate based off like a few posts?
Lol I can do that too Mr. "Rebel photographer", I've come across and hate people who only see negativity and always have to say **** about everything. Now THAT'S really anoyying. Had you presented yourself in a friendlier and less arrogant manner, maybe he wouldn't have given you the same attitude that your giving, and it wouldn't have even gotten to this point.
He was just sharing a sequence, honestly.

Bergdoll didnt waste any time letting everyone know how he feels. Look for his earlier posts if you really care.

I was nice the first time. Then he got snarky and got on us. Look through his earlier post like Adam said. Someone asked what he shot a picture with and he flipped out. I give feedback on what I see.

I am always surprised how age and cockiness go hand in hand. The younger you are, the more sure you are your opinion is the only right one. Too bad it isn't always matched with skill and experience.
To the topic at hand, I do have to agree that the sequence itself really isn't anything to get excited about. Not sure it is worth crapping on the dude over, but hardly not anything new or exciting. Boring time of day, boring location, so what action. Great if the person is your bud, but to everyone else, doesn't mean much.
Which is one of the prime criteria for any photograph, is it compelling to someone if they don't have a personal relationship with the subject? In this case, I would say no. But that goes for any photograph... sequence or not. I have a hard time emotionally removing myself from viewing my own stuff. I remember what it was like there when it happened. The viewer doesn't have that benefit. So unless the photograph is strong enough to bring that context in on its own.... it probably isn't all that good.
Guru dude... before you start casting stones around.... perhaps you need to revisit your sportsshooter "portfolio". Maybe only one of those shots is "portfolio" worthy. The rest look like from the stands fan shots. I wouldn't go around pounding your chest yet.

And you might want to learn how to spell Maravich, seeing as how he is one of the greatest athletes ever to come out of the school that you "shoot" for. See, all kinds of little things can be picked at if people really want to be jerks!

Thanks Razor, didn't see that. When I corrected it, my computer put a T in again. I've got it know.
Croasdail, I know most of the shots in Sportsshooter aren't portfolio worthy. They are just a show of stuff around here. They aren't the shots I gained entrance to Sportsshooter with.
I don't like to cast stones around. I also don't like when people jump on people trying to help as berg did earlier. So I critique like he responds. Overall it isn't a horrible sequence. I've seen people put images out of order and stupid things like that. Its just boring visually.
