Here are some shots taken with my 2 weeks old 180mm f/3.5L Macro.

First 2 are water macro, saw someone posted it on FM and thought, why not give it a go. So here they are, couldn't get them to resemble anything but oh well :) Also next time I should fill the water to the top so I can shoot at it from a lower down angle.

I think I can slowly get macro photography to grow on me, the lens is just so nice, me love it much.

yeah, great shots. love that second water shot. how'd you get that effect? what kind of backdrop/lighting did you use?

Thanks 4nR, just a metal sink with water dripping from the tap. Colour temperature set to create blue lighting. One 550EX flash in high sync mode to freeze the droplet. As to how I get the effect, well, its shooting and shooting and shooting, all you can do is time it right, and what ever effects on how the drop is form is completely random and determine by Neptune himself :P

Those are all awesome! That is a sweet lens too. I've been thinking about getting it myself.
