Just wanted to get some opinions on this.
Do you crop to the same aspect ratio all the time because "that's how it's supposed to be?
Or do you crop to your will because it doesn't matter except for when you want to have the entire picture printed on a certain sized paper?

I primarily use fixed aspect, at least until I know how the photo is going to be used.

I usually crop to 2:3 because that looks good to me--not because "that's how it's supposed to be. When the content of the image does not look good to me at a 2:3 ratio, I crop it to the dimensions where I think it looks best.

Mostly 3:2, unless i'm trying to do something in particular with an image for the web.

A picture is a picture not a crop ratio. Crop to what looks best for each picture and don't be bound by what the camera manufacturers impose.

I crop for the images intended use -- the way it looks best for the web, 4x3 for viewing on a monitor, or actual print size for prints -- and archive the original as shot.

That's what I've been doing so far ... Thanks for all the input ;)
