I took this at Stanford University with my fiance coming into the frame for 10 secs. I like the idea of a night shot with a 'ghost' in it looking out into the distance. I also love how the lights turned to little stars. But I'm undecided if it all comes together or if it's too much. Thoughts?

I almost missed the "ghost", maybe make him more.....uhm what's the word I'm looking for.....well I guess ghostly, by dodging his image to make it stand out just a hair. I do love those lights :D

Yeah, it took me some time to find the 'ghost'. I spotted the white streak of his shirt straight away, but it just looks like a white streak. I had to hunt around for a while and then found his head, but the rest of him just looks like a shadow on the wall, rather than part of the ghost.
A nice idea, but I think you need to pay attention to what the ghost is wearing next time, so that it clearly appears to be one transparent figure, rather than a couple of bits, without having to really try hard to make it out.

i did a entire shoot in a old cemetary and played around with the ghosting. have you tried hitting your subject with a flash and then doing a 10 + second exposure with the bulb setting

Good idea to dress the "ghost" into something not dark! I forgot about that...I'll see if we can swing another trip to Stanford. AND I'm bringing a tripod this time!
Also, I've never tried incorporating flash so that might be another thing to try. Thanks for all the helpful feedback!! :)
