I am looking for a Pelican case that I can fit the following gear in, as well as a little room to grow into, maybe another small zoom(17-40, 24-70 or 24-105). I don't really want anything HUGE so the smallest to fit this stuff in would be appreciated. I am looking at the 1500/1504 or the 1510/1514. I really don't need the wheels/handle on the 1510 though. I also think that the padded inserts would be better then the foam as I can move them around, so the 15x4 would probably be better.
40D w/ grip
400mm f/5.6
70-200 f/4 IS
Nifty Fifty
430EX II
Thanks

Take a look at the variety of Pelican reviews listed in the bag review list. I would say that the 1510/1514 should fit everything, but you may want to look at the 1610/1614 if you plan on growing a bit.

I've read alot of the reviews already. Either I'm blind or there aren't any reviews on the 1500/1504 though. The 1510/1514 actually looks a little big and like I said, I really don't want/need the wheels/handle on it. The 1610/1614 is definitely alot bigger then I want atm.

You ARE blind. There's a review on the 1500 series on the same page your thread is on:

I have the 1610 and if you plan on growing you might want to look at it. I got mine from Optics planet for a good price.

Hmm... my bad, I thought all the series starting out 15xx or 16xx were of the same size with the difference only being the dividers and such. Guess I was the who's blind!

See what i put in my 1500 in the middle of this thread. I think your gear will just fit, but as said above always buy bigger!
