Nice series... Love number one... I also really like two, but wish it wasn't so warm and yellow... That could easily be corrected in pp and I think you might have a real winner then... Thanks for sharing and good luck to you and your wife with your imminent arrival... Hope all goes well...

Actually-- I do like your original better... Tried to play with it myself, and couldn't do much better--I wasn't happy with my efforts to take the greenish warmish tinge away. I ended up trying to make it even more like a candlelit shot--not sure if this is any better either--There are people here who could likely make this much better, but I'm not one of them. You have a lovely wife, and I hope this pregnancy goes well. While she is pregnant--try again!
Despite my posting this, I still like your original better than this.

Really like that first shot with the red sash. It just conveys the feeling of a pregnancy. The intimacy and emotions are there.

oh she already had the baby so it's too late. i wish i had tried more too...i had the exact same problem with that greenish tinge you're talking about. just couldn't quite get it right. O.o
how did you even out the lighting on her face? that was another thing i was trying to do but failed miserably at. hehe.
i really appreciate all your help and thoughts!D

thank you so much! this was my first attempt at a "photo session." i didn't really plan much for it but i lucked out. actually, i just went to walmart spur-of-the-moment and picked up various satin-like fabrics...maybe like 3-4 yards of each. while there, i also picked up some 150w lamps for lighting and a black shower curtain for the background. everything was pretty much makeshift! when we got home, i just hung up the curtain and had her wrap herself in the different fabrics and then it was just trial and error. if you asked me to do it again, i probably wouldn't be able to. hehe:p

to be frank, I'm not sure I remember... I did play with levels... Brightness and contrast... other things as well, but it was likely done with one or both of the above. I hope and trust mom and baby are well.

Love these! Really nice and a wonderful inspiration. My only complaint is in the first one she looks cold (goose bumps) but that could also just be skin texture and my own cold-self thinking she's got to be cold with nothing on since I'm freezing fully clothed!

ah i see. yes, they are doing perfectly. we did an all natural home birth and she was up and about just hours afterwards. the baby is also doing excellent...he can eat about 3.5-4.5oz, sleep about 3-4 hrs at a time, and only cries when he's hungry or taking a bath. :D
