Went and bought an American flag to use as a backdrop instead of just black foam board and some some more appropriate ammo. Let me know what you think!

It pains me to say it, but a full clip of tracer, and clips filled with soft point ammo are what jumps out at me first.....
I love the subject matter and lighting, but I'm getting caught up in the details with this.

Unfortunately those were the only two full clips of brass cased 30-06 that I have. If I hadn't been out of town this past weekend I could have hit the gun show and picked up some mil-surp, but I just didn't get a chance to.

The ammo is much better, I like the flag rather than the black background!
I just keep thinking your copyright is written on the stock :)
I've also got an 8 pack of inert Lake City ammo that would look perfect in that clip!

I like this series a LOT more, nice job!! The pure b/w doesn't do much for me, but the toned version is nice. I strongly prefer the color one though as it's one of my hang-ups about our flag being in color! The soft point ammo is, well, a heck of a lot better than the Silver Bear! Might present better though if you played with the positioning of the ammo so that it's not so obvious what it is. Still though, it looks a lot more appropriate than the zinc plated cases! (no offense to the "Bear" ammo, I have and use plenty!) Good job.

Thanks. I guess I'll just have to get some surplus FMJ ammo and try this again...lol. I have plenty of clips waiting to be filled. Hopefully I will get to shoot it again soon too.
And I agree on the B&W, I will probably leave that out next time and just use it as my stepping stone to the sepia version.
