Got a wild hair to do some indoor shots around 1230 tonight :D My sister had brought some roses home so I figured I would do some flash experiments with them. I mounted the 70-200mm f/4L at first but decided to use the 100mm f/2.8 USM macro instead.
Did not quite come out the way I had hoped they would

Looks nice, but it bothers me how the very top of the rose was cut off, might show better if that didn't happen.

Colour for me, and less of a crop around the top, nice though!

I like the color best. I think part of the beauty of flowers is the rich colors. Black and whites of flowers never work for me.

Thanks for the comments all.
The missing tip of the petal kinda bugs me too, as I said, this was an experiment. Out of 29 shots, I figured this one was the best one, even though I clipped off the petal. I also agree, that monochrome image just don't do it. Perhaps a reshoot is in order, maybe I will set the camera in a portrait position :)
