After searching the bag review thread I didn't find much on either of these bags.
Please post pics of this bag & your set up if you own it.
Thanks

I couldn't believe the price on these things. I would get the lowepro fastpack 200/250 over this. but that's too big for me, I'm getting the Kata 3n1-20.

The Lowepro Fastpack 350 fit me better. It has a bit bigger compartment and a bigger opening for the fast access so I liked that better even though it is uglier then the speedpack 85.
Here is how my lowepro is arranged

As you see in the speedpack where the cleaning supplies are being stored is pretty useless because it is too narrow for lenses and barely fits the flash. The fast pack has no problems with storing flash and possibly smaller lenses.

I find Tamrac shoulder straps to be more comfortable than Lowepro's, and that would be one reason to go for the Tamrac. But, I did realize that the Speed Packs don't have hip or chest straps for extra support. Please correct if I'm wrong on that part.

The Tamrac does not have a chest strap and the lowepro does. I don`t use them though so it doesn`t matter to me

I know this thread is a little old, but hopefully this question makes it to all of you.
I am currently looking for a pack that can carry my camera + 3-4 lens, maybe a tripod, and lunch, water, and whatever other hiking supplies I need. I know its going to be a lot of a weight, but on shorter hikes, I'd prefer to carry as much with me as possible, and then I can lighten the load on longer hikes by being choosy.
One major requirement is that I'd like to be able to take the camera out of the pack without taking it off. I'd also like to be able to access my other lenses easily. Water resistance and comfort are a must, since I'll be hiking with it and at the mercy of the elements. And as implied above, it would be nice to have as much room to pack hiking supplies as possible.
This has lead me to the Lowepro FastPack 350 and Tamrac 3385 (Speed pack 85).
It appears that the Tamrac has more room overall, (based on outside dimensions), but less in the lower compartment (as mentioned by another poster). This would be ok with me, since my camera gear won't take up all too much space. My biggest concern about the Lowepro is the 2nd flap on the camera compartment. This seems like it would be a huge hassel since when I want to switch to another lens, I would have to take the pack off, undo the flap, then undo the zipper compartment and then put it all back before being ready to shoot. I have the lowepro 200 and I'm able to squeeze the lenses in and out without opening the whole compartment, but this doesn't seem possible with the larger compartment in the 350. Water resistance is also an issue.
Any comments, suggestions, or insight are welcomed! :D
Thanks in advance and happy shooting!

In reference to a comment in the review about the fact that the Lowepro looks ugly and therefore is less likely to be stolen:
Actually, having done a trek across Italy for 2 months I wanted something that looked like regular back pack and chose the Speedpack 85 for this very reason. I'd wager big time that this is what the reviewer is saying. I also own a Fastpack 350 for when I travel in areas where I'm not as concerned about theft.
Petty theft is a big deal in Italy and the Tamrac looks more like a "simple" backpack - save for the side enterance. The Lowepro looks far more like a camera bag (which is what makes it a bit less pleasing) and far more of a target.
I never got hassled once (about my bag) during my entire trip nor was I followed (a common tactic I'd noticed when I lived in Italy for a number of years with my family that is part of the snatch and grab while distracted tactic). I was based for the most part out of Naples (to keep cost low) where my parent's live (beautiful city but petty theft is very high - snatch and grab) and took the "slow/cheap" trains most of the time. When I stayed elsewhere I stayed in hostels, again a scary proposition if you have expensive gear (I have a 5Dii, 23-300 L IS USM, 14L, 50L, a 24-70L, 580EX I, and a Canon 1.5 extender).
As a note I am not Italian, nor do I speak Italian that well. I'm half Greek but I don't look Greek as my father is Swiss. That said I don't look like the stereo typical Greek/Italian so to say that I was ignored for looking local would not be accurate. Someone did try to steal my wallet in Rome. I keep mine in the front pocket or my pack but I keep a fake in the rear pocket. They tore my back pocket off my jeans and ran with the wallet. Didn't even bother with my bag and it was on one shoulder at the time as I'd just finished taking some pictures of the Pantheon and was walking toward Piazza Navona.
I did see two people get there gear stolen while on my trip. Once in Bari and the second time in Palermo. Both guys had packs (not sure on brands) that were obviously camera bags.
I just got back from a week and a half in South America (Chile and Argentina). Again I was never hassled about my bag, though luckily I didn't see anyone get jacked (of camera equipment at least) this time. However petty theft is far worst (IMHO) than anywhere else I've ever visited (though I'll be in South Africa this summer for the World Cup).
