Caught this cheeky squirrel raiding our bird feeder this afternoon. He has a stolen nut in his left paw. He knew he'd been rumbled and stared at me for a few seconds before running off up a nearby tree to enjoy his ill gotten gains!
Unfortunately had to take it through double glazed windows or I wouldn't have got the shot at all.
300D, Sigma 105mm EX macro lens (longest lens I currently own  ), ISO400, f4.0, 1/250, manual focus. Levels, USM and border in PS7.

It still looks good even taken through the window. I like it.

Nice color, detail, and bokeh!
Adding a few points of shadow (or whatever one would do in PS) would make it more robust.

Cheers guys. Glad you like it.
Tupe - I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Do you mean darken the shadow areas slightly to give a bit more contrast? I'll give it a go.

PhotoImpact has a tool to increase/decrease highlights, midtones and shadows. Decreasing the shadows is a bit like increasing the contrast, though it doesn't blow out the highlights. I don't have PS, so I don't know if you can do something similar with it. Here's one possible result:

Yep you can tweak the shadows using levels in PS. I adjusted the levels on the original image but perhaps I over lightened it. Thanks for the critique. :)

I've re-edited the original pic. After your comments Tupe I looked at the original again and realised I had blown out some of the highlights on the white fur, so here it is again with a slight change in levels and slightly larger to show a bit more of the detail. I'm happier with this one. Thanks for your help. :D
