Hi
I was shooting at an event in a dimly lighted room with a 420EX flash, and was surprised to find myself having extreme trouble with autofocus. Only after the event did I realise that I had turned off Focus-Assist on the camera while shooting outdoors earlier in the day (to avoid the irritating yellow light)
Is there anyway I can turn off the in-camera focus assist when I am not using an externally mounted EX flash, and have the focus assist on the 420EX automatically activated upon turning on the flash? I would have thought that would be the case.....
It's a hassle to use Custom Function to switch Focus Assist on and off for non-flash and flash situations. One can miss shots because of that! :(
any clue?
