Hi all,
Looking to get a zoom lense in a superwide or wide range. Looking for the sharpest image return on my investment. I have the 50/1.8 and 70-200/2.8L IS lenses already and looking for something to do skylines and landscapes with.......wider range of view. Possibly a fast lense but I like to do tripod work so that isn't completely neccessary.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

The Canon 17-40 F4 L is hard to beat for the money.

#3 vote for the 17-40. I love mine too. It is half the price of the 16-35 (or so) and is not limiting on camera bodies like the 10-22 EF-S is.

I've got one of those 17-40 jobbies too, highly recommended...

First choice would be EF 16-35mm F/2.8L(price is little too high for me), I have EF 17-40mm F/L sharp as EF 16-35mm F/2.8L and way more resonable with price.

Another vote for the 17-40/4L. If you need wider, you could go for the 10-22mm which would leave you the option of getting a nice mid-zoom (Canon 24-70/2.8L or a Tamron 28-75/2.8) without any overlap in coverage. I'd still pickup the 17-40/4L anyways since it's a beautiful lens and an absolute bargain considering the price.
