Great day today, so took the kids out to the Descanso Gardens for their Festival of Flowers. Here are some pics. Keep in mind this is a BIG series w/28 pics, so here is the link to my gallery of the visit, below are sample shots, the rest are just as good, I was very impressed w/the D20 / 100mm Macro combo:

Beautiful pics. I like #s 3 and 4 best, but they are all really nice. Love that duck.

Those are all exceptional photos, great color and sharpness. BTW, I think you misspelled your name in # 4.

The pictures wouldn't load for me at home, but they do just fine here at work. Nice shots. I'd forgotten about the tulips there. I used to have a membership to Descanso Gardens, but let it expire a couple years ago and haven't been back much since then. I might have to go back for the tulips this month, though.

BTW, I think you misspelled your name in # 4.

Nice catch. I gotta automate it. Know how but always find it easier just to type it in. Once in a while I slip :o

Thomas, it's a GREAT time to do it right now. I am actually thinking of going back DURING the week, weekend is like a ZOO there, too many people. And it's only $6 (I think) to enter, dont need the membership, I dont have one either.

I always go mid-week, mostly because of my work schedule, but also to avoid the crowds. I can't make it there this week, though. I'll see if I can get there next week. I think I've only been there three or four times since my membership expired a couple years ago.
