This is one of my favorite pics that I ever took....it happened on "accident" as I was trying to catch a different bolt of lighting that was to the left just out of my lens range(you can see some of it in the pic)...i was quite dissappointed that I missed the other bolt, but thats when the big one struck, right infront of my lens!!

Basically, I sat in a window for over an hour trying to capture a bolt....i had decided to set my camera on it's tripod, get out my remote and continously shoot, shoot, shoot...I took over 100 pics and only ended up with 3 good bolts...:lol:...so my advice would be to have a lot of patience .... having good luck helps too....
