Can someone please tell me if the Sandisk Extreme IV is compatiable with the Canon SX10?

If not which one would give me the best fps.

I have one already and would like to use it on my new SX10.

Thanks

It'll work, but IMO it's overkill. I think an Ultra II would be more than enough. The bottleneck is the camera, not the card; notice how turning off the various auto features helps pick up the speed (AF, AE, auto flash).

I bought this for another camera, so I can still return it. But I won't get the full price back, so I thought of just keeping it for this camera.

It won't cuase any problems will it?

Thanks

No, it'll work fine. Depending on how much the return would cost you though, you might be able to get several Ultra II cards from the credit. But the Extreme IV will perform better than slower, less expensive, cards in whatever your next camera is.

So you would suggest the Ulta II then?

I think it'll be plenty for the SX10; I just picked up an 8 GB one for my (anticipated) SX1. I was fine with regular "blue" SanDisk cards in my SX10 and A630.
