Mississippi River flyway--where is best now?

I will be traveling to Clarksville Tn from Duluth MN this weekend, normally I go down thru WI and IL, however I am considering a route along the Mississippi to see if I could get some good eagle pics this trip---does someone more familiar with that flyway have any suggestions as to where are the busy areas this time of year?
