longtime Boston hardcore unit Converge played to a packed room (they were not letting anyone else inside by the time i got there; my pass got me in, and to the back of the stage as well which was nice, since it was crazy fierce up front).

#8 lead singer jacob bannon was on my flight home...talked w/ him about boston hardcore back in the day. nice, unassuming guy.

Great shots of a band that can be really difficult to shoot sometimes due to nonstop movement. You def captured it well though. The second shot sums up what it's like to be in the crowd at their shows.

J. Bannon! I love this guy. I was just talking with him on Saturday night (he's a huge MMA fan) and an artist. Please people, if you like modern art, check out his work.
He is a great guy!

Converge should be heading back into the studio in May

I like this set a lot! #1 is the best of the set.

The only bad thing I see is look at the hand in the far left on #2, it looks like the hand was overly color or bright saturated before turning to B/W, it caught my eye immediately and looks pretty bad. Something happened to the head/face of the photographer in the background (far right) and it kid of freaks me out... :)

Where is this place that you had to fly home? I wish I could relate to this style but it's just not going to happen ... I like all my musicians clothed, preferably in coat and tie unless country genre! And the audience shouldn't be passing each other around overhead! :-)

Some great captures there - did a great job of capturing the feel. #4 is my personal fave.

The first one is really nice. Think I would have cropped it a bit different though, to lose the head on the left (kinda distracting I think).

Well covered. I think the shot of the room/crowd surfing and the portrait at the end really add to the set.

thanks for the comments all. nouks, i agree w/ yr crop comment of #1, and also moemoe's comment about the burned hand and photog in the background of #2...something went awry!
