If he got any closer to the camera...

He's finally getting comfortable with the camera so that when he see it- he comes running up to me. Makes it fun to get a good shot.
I'm just still looking for input on how to improve my photos. Every little bit helps me learn more. Are the shadows on his face ok- or should I be trying to find a way to reduce them?
This was taken with my 18-55mm lens, f5.6, 1/3200, ISO 500 (?- didn't know that was possible) I was in Av mode at the time.

Hey ang i love it! One thing I would say to watch are shadows. His right side (our left) could use some sort of fill light , have him turn slighty more to the left and let some more sun on his face :) HTH!

He is adorable! The shadows on his face ruin it for me. Instead of trying to reduce them in PS, maybe try shooting during a different time of day. I prefer early morning shortly after the sun comes up, or late afternoon/early evening.

Thanks- I only had a trial version of PS (and it's expired) so I don't even have the option to edit much right now. I'll have to play around with shooting him from different angles when he's playing.

I actually did awhile back- before I got my PS Elements trial version. I have not figured out GIMP yet- guess I need to start playing with it again.
