I've just gotten into band photography, and these are exactly the types of shots I want to end up with. I won't be sportin' the "L" glass just yet, but will be make-do with the Nifty Fifty and the 85mm f/1.8.
These are really, really nice, man.

Steve, thanks! At least you'll be using sharp primes, so not much drop on L glass quality.

Was this a with a 1D Mk1? Any problems with banding?

love 1,3 and 6 as well. 3 is my fav, though you should process the white spot off his forehead.like the colors in them.

Yea, my 1D is my key piece of equipment! Nope, the only problems with banding occured on the earlier models, mine was quite a late model.
