Not sure whether this should go into the People section or here!

Anyway, a few shots from yesterday's Manics gig in the Derby Assembly Rooms.

All comments welcome!

Nice shots, looks like poster material. What lens did you use?

Thanks! All shot with a 70-200 f2.8 L IS, wide open at ISO1600.

I've just gotten into band photography, and these are exactly the types of shots I want to end up with. I won't be sportin' the "L" glass just yet, but will be make-do with the Nifty Fifty and the 85mm f/1.8.

These are really, really nice, man.

Thanks so much for making me feel inadequate...

1, 3 and 6 are the best by far. Well done.

Steve, thanks! At least you'll be using sharp primes, so not much drop on L glass quality.

Very nice shots.
Was this a with a 1D Mk1? Any problems with banding?

love 1,3 and 6 as well. 3 is my fav, though you should process the white spot off his forehead.like the colors in them.

Yea, my 1D is my key piece of equipment! Nope, the only problems with banding occured on the earlier models, mine was quite a late model.
