GBH Nesting

Took the gear to a local park today and had some success, along with some disappointments. The highlight for me was watching a pair of Great Blue Herons busily building a nest, high in a pine tree. They are protected not only by the height of the tree, but by being on an island. These were shot at 400mm and cropped roughly 75%, since there was no way to get close.

Nice ones Stan. I went to Guana R.S.P. and didn't get anything in terms of birds. Though, it was a nice time back in nature again. :)

You need to visit us in Pinellas County, lots of parks. Also, Brevard County may be the birding capital.
