Black & White much more character!
Think of old trains in black and gray!
Great Shots

I'd like to see more of the train, too add context to the pic.

I have a few more good shots of some other trains but this one was going about 100 kph which is really fast considering that this train is in the yard 2 blocks from my house and smack dab in the middle of the city. So by the time I was able to take a second shot of it, it looked like this... (which I really dont care for)

I prefer the color for this. My little rule of thumb, "broken often" Steam B&W 90% of the time, Diesel color 90% of the time.

Because the colours are bright they are what atract the eye in the colour version... In the B&W version the subject catches the eye because there are no distractions... They both work but it all depends on what you want the viewer to see a colourful image or the train...

Yeah I think I like the color one better myself. The B&W one equalizes it but it just doesn't have the same effect as the Color one. Perhaps I should keep the train color but make what little background either B&W or distorted?
