Playing ball with my son, hit hit a screamer right into my lens. I happened to capture a few shots as the ball was coming right at me. LOL Thank God it was only a wiffle. As you can see there is a tee set up but he hates hitting from a tee and demands being pitched to. I tried taking away the tee but he says it is home plate and we can't play baseball with out a home plate!
First pic is the pitch and the second is on its way to me. C/C welcome!

Thanks for all your comments guys! Actually we are going to go to the park right now and try it again LOL. He is quite intense for a little boy when we paly sports. might invest on one of those warm up pitcher protecters you see at the ball park during batting practice...LOL

Great story and pics. So how do you pitch and take photos at the same time?

Dante, you are going to get a posthumous award for one of your photos some day. I had a bat fly over my head one day just missing me by a foot. I lost my interest in shooting baseball games.

Great shot. In future, for this activity, consider using a special lens hood, made of leather. Before you use the hood you have to rub it with oil and sleep on top of it. Not stocked at B&H but you can get them at Dick's sporting goods.
