I'm finding with the white seamless it's a lot harder than I expected to get the WB set correctly. I know I need some more light just not sure what to use to get it. :)

OK, I'll bite!
First off, ADORALBE KIDDO!
Number one is cute, I think the crop is decent. I prefer higher contrast black and whites though. A reflector (a piece of coreboard from walmart) would have worked nicely on his right (viewers left side) to get more light on his face. Maybe try for a smile?? I know how kids can be though.

2. This is my favorite, it just kindof tells a story of how boys are. I picture a slingshot sticking out of his pocket and a frog on the floor hopping away from him LOL. Remember though, eye contact is always a plus!

3. again with the black and white and the lighting on the one side.. If you send me the originals I can do a play, but I'm really not that good yet. and I'm only using pse7. You got eye contact here at least, but I would have loved to see some personality from the boy :)

Just my 2c.. take it or leave it ;)

though it's often the "cheese" one any more.
I also agree about the lighting. I think I'll be investing in additional lighting very soon, just a hard choice to make. I do have a piece of foamcore just haven't been using it ... I guess I'll dig it out. :)
Thanks!

aww, thats a smile! silly kids- I have 4 of them and they are getting tired of the camera. you could bribe him with a healthy snack lol.

I prefer either clean s hoes, or clean feet instead of socks.. (gosh I like CC, but always feel like I'm being too picky.. Please don't feel like i'm just being negative.. I do love the pics :) ) I dont even have a backdrop and stuff, so you're one leg up! Plexi glass makes for a cool effect on white though :) (for him to sit on)

I don't like using a reflector either, but.. ya know. maybe someday I can afford lighting..

Since your whites are nice and white, i dont know if this is a wb problem or a color cast problem from his yellow shirt! hm....

I'm going to do a quick b/w for you :)

Don't tell my MIL as I have always criticized her for giving him sweets but I have gone so far lately as to bribe him with Skittles

I do agree with the socks but he insisted. I take what I can get. :) I'll have to use the reflector for sure next time until I can find lighting that I LOVE (in my price range.)

Thanks for the C&C!

I'm not very good at b/w though, but it's an idea.. :) I prefer whiter skin/higher contrast

Thanks Amy. Yeah I like the higher contrast too. He's so white though that it's easy to contrast/brightness half his face right out of the picture. ;)

Every time I look at these the lighting seems be a little worse than I remember. :( I'll just keep plugging away at it. :) Thanks for your imput.
