Would like some C&C on these. Sometimes it's nice to have cold, dreary days.
Thanks

Great expression, but that's the dog, not the photographer! Seriously, I like both shots. I would like to see more color in the dog's coat and eyes. They just aren't rich enough. If the color's there, you could boost saturation a bit, or the color isn't there, you could add some in through a layer. Nice catch lights in the eyes!

After converting to black and white, I realized it didn't really change her color. She is a blue pit, so that is pretty close to her actual color. I've pondered on how to richen (not sure if that is the correct term) but not sure exactly what to change.
Thanks

Moccadoke, one of us is confused. My Photoshop reports that your posted images are in RGB color mode. Not gray scale or black and white. Furthermore, I SEE color in your posted images. That's why I suggested boosting the color saturation a bit. Did you intend to post B&W, but posted color by mistake?

This may just be me but I would love to see the whole dog in focus. You have definitely nailed the focus on the eyes but I would like to see more of the detail in the coat of this beautiful animal.

The light caught in the eye is lovely, only suggestions would have been to use a smaller aperture, the fur, though short, have that beautiful gleaming look to it :)

I used my 50mm f/1.4, one of my favorite lenses.
Thanks for the compliments and suggestions.
