Fortunately, she doesn't mind (yet) that I still call her that.

Nice shots. I like the focus effect and DOF in number one. She will probably always let you call her Sweetpea.

I really like #1, its a nice shot. Personally I would probably remove some "blemishes" like acne/red spots but otherwise a really nice shot. =o)

Thanks, Mills and Sue, for the nice comments.

Yeah, I didn't put much time into these ... just a slight levels adjustment and a resize. (I just wanted to post something - I haven't contributed in quite awhile). I need to get CS or Elements 3 for the healing brush. I've tried to get rid of blemishes with Elements 2, but I'm doing something wrong or I'm simply incompetent ... whichever :(

She's perfect; insignificant blemishes and all.
We Dads have to say that...it's in the handbook. LOL

Very nice shots of a lovely child with pretty green eyes.

really great photos. Pics of my kids (pics not quite as good as yours) line my office walls, as these should proudly line yours.

please don't remove the moles. They are part of who she is, which is a real human and not a magazine model. If you "improve" the images you might regret the message that it sends to her. On the other hand, a little older & then you can remove any acne with her blessings.

I completely agree - I would never remove her "beauty marks" - as she and her mother call them. I assumed TSEE was talking about the small red spots on her forehead/nose. She's about to turn 12 and is getting small amounts of acne (or some kind of blemishes) - so I'd like to learn how to effectively remove those in Elements 2.0.

You got it, its not necessary its part of who she is, but since I've recently started editing mine its the one and only thing I'd do differently with that photo, but not even necessary if you feel it adds to the whole. =o)
She's a very pretty girl, you better keep a shotgun handy when boys come knocking. =o)

The quick, easy way in photoshop elements to remove acne is with the spot-healing brush. The icon for this looks like a bandaid. Click that, then on the icon toolbar set a size to the brush that is just a little larger than the acne spot. Then click on the spot. Elements help has a good explanation of how to it.

Thanks, David, but I'm fairly certain that's not included in Elements 2.0. Are you using 3.0?
