While out fishing, I saw this cool rock outcropping and the poppy growing on it.

I really like the first one.
There's something about the color of poppies that's very appealing to me and to have juxtaposed against the rocks makes for a very nice image IMHO.
Man, you're a real photographer. Takin' your camera when you go fish??

LOL, you always need a camera while fishing............maybe you get a chance to prove that there really was a big one that got away.

LOL.
Heck, even a minnow and Photoshop removes any controversy surrounding the size of "the one that got away."
Still, my hat's off to you for toting your camera on a fishing trip. With my luck, the camera would be in the drink within minutes.

I just noticed you are also in the Bay Area. I work at Stanford and live in Santa Cruz. I do not know if you have been down in the south bay much, but I was fishing in the Almaden Valley at Chesbro Reservoir. The hills are so green and full of wildflowers right now, here on site at work and everywhere in between. I have been loving it!!!
PS'ing a small fish is a great idea!!! I might soon be holding a variety of fish size records..LOL.

The poppies almost look like the ones at Forest of Nisene Marks.
But, I suppose that would be too much of a coincidence.

You know what's a coincidence? The next pics I was going to post were ones taken at Nisene Marks. The park is only 15-20 minutes from my house, depending on traffic.
