I've shot a total of 22 shots so far with my "new" 5D Classic. I think my granddaughter is going to be one of my favorite subjects! Used the 85 1.8. A very nice combination.

I like the #2 better. How old is she?

She will be 1 on the 24th. What appeals to you with the second shot over the first? I struggle with having a creative eye.

In the #1, she is right in the middle. The composition in #2 is better, she is on one side. Her feet are cutt of in #1. Even thought one foot is cutt in #2, it is not as bad as in #1. I also like the bg in #2 and the way that book is in #2 compared to #1.

I like them both. #1 for the expression and #2 for the composition. Congrats on the new 5D and the darling granddaughter.

#2 is great for her expression and the shallow DOF but its under exposed.
The 85 is my favorite lens - its great isn't it? It makes yummy bokeh :)
