Does anyone have any links to tips for shooting hs track&field. I`ve done the search thing here and am not finding what I`m looking for. I`ve read some of the tutorials for baseball, softball, volleyball and basketball. They`ve been a great help. What I`m looking for is what are the best angles to shoot from. Such as when shooting a right handed pitcher one should be on the third base side. What is the best for say a hurdler? Left or right leg extended over the hurdle? Any help is greatly appriceated.

Here you can see what the pros are shooting. You'll like some and be bored by others. Select what you like and try to duplicate the effect.

The hurdlers will decide that, not you.

What you have to decide is if you'll be high or low, and whether you want to position yourself at a hurdle or at the finish line. A high angle ahead of the finish line gives you more options, but a low angle provides more drama and action, if you're quick.

You can also get some great shots during the relays at the baton exchange zones. Shots of the 100m, or 110H head on look great too when they are thundering down the track right at you if you can get on the track after the finish line. Shots of the 200m runners coming out of the curve look awesome too. Or at the end of the pit for the LJ and TJ.

Zivnuska,DC,Huskers. Thank you for the tips. I greatly appriceate it! I can`t wait to get the season going so I can try them out. Our season starts in a couple of weeks. I`ll try to post up some shots for C&C. In the mean time I`m going to study the examples. Thanks again.
