I think thats caused by chewing on some sort of root that stains the teeth. From what I've heard about other cultures it actually makes your teeth harder (narf)

Especially since gingivitis has to do with the gums, not the teeth. :P

LOL, how true that I$.
With the rates my dentist charges, that smile would be a house payment and a new car! ;)

Gillyworld, absolutely stunning images. As beautiful as they are inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder how old that woman really is.
If she was out in the sun all her life, she may not even be that old.
I saw something on TV once that showed a woman from India who lived out in the sun all day, everyday, her entire life. She looked alot like that picture, and she was only 35.
Then they showed this monk who belonged to a sect that stayed in doors their entire life. If they ever had to venture outside (which was rare) they covered themselves from head to toe. This guy looked like he was 25, but he was really 65.
As they say, 80% of skin aging is due to sun exposure.

I highly encourage people to look at the rest to gillyworld's gallery. Personally this is what I dream of achieving in photography, not going to happen though :(

Request to gillyworld: could you please post the camel photo in another thread.
