it seems fuzzy round the edges to me and cutting half of her out of the pic doesnt inhance the pic in my mind. Not sure I like the composition really looks like a snap shot. Beautiful sky and horse though!

Better?
Couldn't do much about the girl, she stepped in the shot when i was taking it. I tried to do it over, but the horse was not being cooperative.

Hi there.
To me, you've got an "almost" dazzling shot.
I love the colour of the sky (2nd post), the character of the horse's face, the distortion.....all excellent.
Some might say the "focus must be on the eyes!", but I like the nose being crisp, in your photo......
But the girl just doesn't fit.
She looks OOF, an "addition" to the shot, and not entirely sure what she's doing...
Sorry....I guess you're right about your title.

I was going for the big headed look but didn't want to over do it.

Yea, I'd leave the vignette off this one. There is photos that it works, and there is photos it doesn't. This is an example of one that the vignette doesn't work.
Bummer about the random oof girl.
I know, it was unavoidable ... I'm just sayin'. It would of been a great composition otherwise.

Why's no one liking the girl and wanting to rid of her? :P
I say get in closer, have the girl interact with the subject of interest, bring her closer to the horsey, show her touching, having her look far into the left as a longing gaze.

Hey Michael :)
I've emboldened in your comment why no one is liking the girl...because she isn't interacting close enough, touching or looking longingly at the horse. She's just kinda "there".
Really, it's almost a great shot. And I think that's why the OP was wondering in the first place........
To the OP...if the girl is a friend/daughter, and the horse is close by, go to it, and try again!

I primarily said it because she's totally OOF'd and doesn't add anything to the photo. Like sky said, she's just kinda there.
Now looking at this photo again, I feel compelled to bring up the cloud sticking out of the back of the horses head. If it were mine, I'd probably clone it out. But, that's just me.

I agree! The girl actually looks very pretty and could easily become an intriguing part of the shot :)

I thought so too. Just gotta watch the angles, as "distortion effects" on a horse, elongating it's nose would not be popular with a teenage girl!!!!!!
