First of all you have to excuse my English since is not my "native" language.

Please take a look to this picture. I'm attracted to the close-ups/maco pictures but for now I only have just the camera (2 weeks old Canon A95) and no other accessories.
This picture is made 3 days ago when I've found an ants colony.
All comments will be very appreciated.

(Focal Lenght: 8mm, f/5, 1/400", Metering Mode: Pattern, Manual Focus Distance : 4 centimeters)

edited: unfortunatelly looks pretty small, but that was the only method to upload here :(

Welcome. I'm fairly new here too. It's a great place to learn with lots of talented, knowledgeable people willing to help.

Very interesting shot. The weed sticking up is very distracting. Perhaps an angle from a little further up? It's refreshing to see someone who is not interested in the long lenses. There is a closer world to examine.

PS. It's NOT full, it just appears so. But welcome back anyway...

Thanks for the comments.
It is full..I had to reduce it to 480x360 pixel to keep under 100kB.
I'll try to do this (kind of) photo again in two weeks I guess. For this one I didn't had my tripode :o.

Neat perspective. Titus is right -- lose the grass in the foreground.

And I'd bet that the comment from Titus about "full" was referring to your signature, not your picture. ;-)

You're right ! :D Silly me :o

So how about this one ?
The differences :
-different crop (obvious);
-unsharp mask;
-warm photo filter.
(all done in Photoshop).
