What kinda bird is this?

This bird isn't particularly exotic, but I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

Thats a White-Breasted Nuthatch. Perty common around here.

Thanks. They may be common here, too, but I don't ever recall seeing one before. I like the looks of this animal.

There was something dead in the lower right corner that I cloned out. Looked like a rat or some other large rodent.

Common, yes, but not always the easiest bird to snap since they hop so quickly. I have found that they seem to like to land in the same places, so a little prefocus and patience can work wonders.
