Well, my basketball season has come to an end. The team I was covering lost in the regional finals yesterday. It was a good game but they just came up short against a team who hit lots of free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Both shot with 5D MkII and 135 f/2 lens. ISO 3200, f/2, 1/800.

Now it is time for a bit of a break between seasons and will soon be time to be back outdoors covering spring sports hopefully at conditions better than ISO 3200 regardless of how well the camera handles it.

Seniors Clay Pierce (left) and DJ Byrd (right) console each other after the loss. I liked it better as a B&W.

Kev, the b/w works very well as a b/w although if you played with the channels a touch I bet you could make it even better. Bring the green down a touch and bump the red accordingly. You could also bring blues down a fuzz as well and leave the green as is. Play with it and see what you think.

Oddly, I looked at the first two and though thow great the colors looked for ambient at those settings then I get a b/w fomr you! Looks great bud, all of them.

Thanks Scott and thanks for the suggestion on the b/w adjustments. Let me know what you think of the attached.

The biggest reason I went with it as a b/w was because where they were standing when I took this shot was darker than normal and I was underexposed. The colors lost their pop and the noise became more of an issue so decided to 'fix' it by making it a b/w.

Any preliminary guesses where Cleveland will land in the seedings later today?

Lot's of free throws down the stretch to steal the win ?

Greensburg lead the ENTIRE game...not just down the stretch. Not once did North ever get up on them, don't you remember? ;)

Those are some great shots you have there BTW!

Oops typo on my part. Should have been seal not steal. They could never get over the hump. Gburg played Byrd well which was the key to winning. Good luck with Princeton. They are a machine.

It's gonna be tough no doubt. I'm just happy we made it this far, G-burgs first Regional victory in 25 years I think...those kids are playing so hard. I'm Dallas BTW, we met at the game. You were asking me where Photosnap was located....remember? Anyway, hope to see you this year at other events :)

I wish you guys the best.

I'm not sure you are thinking of me that you met at the game. I don't remember talking to anyone about Photosnap but I did drink a few between the games so who knows. :-)

I was the big guy with glasses and a goatee sitting on the floor chair.

Again, have fun at semistate.
