I went out earlier this evening to take out the garbage and when I saw this cloud formation I just had to go and get my camera and tripod.

Nice.

It looks like a painting. I guess that could be good or bad, but I like it.

The stars weren't painted in if that's what you mean. ;)

Most of the adjustment was done in Adobe Camera Raw, then I did a rather poor job of cloning out a few branches at the bottom that I had to include in the frame to get the bottom most clouds in the frame. The shot was quite noisy (ISO400) so I reduced the noise in Noiseware and finally did a bit of USM.
