Well I had originally posted this under the travel section with another picture, but I wasn't getting any responses so I thought I would try submitting this one to the crowd.

Please let me know what you think, and what sort of improvements could be made, either in composition, or editing.

Thanks

Hi Brad,
Since you titled this image cute girl, I assume you want to show the girl, however background is filling too much of frame in this picture.
Probably a tighter crop with more emphasis on the girl will be better ... :-)

I agree with Raj.

Yup, when you shoot people, shoot the people and minimize the railings, buildings, statues, steps, windows ... move right in and then wait for that perfect expression. Since the dress and shoes aren't important here, I'd go for head and shoulders, maybe with the hand.

Thanks for the feedback-Is this any better?

How about technical aspects of the shot? Any feedback there?

this is a vote for the 2nd picture...i think that the dress and the shoes and the chubby little legs do contribute to the cuteness factor!

There you go. She is a Doll. This crop makes it work.

I like the larger cropped image. The composition works very well. But there is something missing - it appears dull of color. Lacks what I call snap and I don't know how to get it there. Cute kid.

I also like the larger cropped picture.
If you want to focus on the girl, then maybe you should use a more shallow DOF by using a larger aperture (ever thought of getting the 50/1.8?)

But most likely you also wanted to have the background in focus.
Where did you take that shot?
Best regards,
Andy
