Graphic Design Price

Its not quite a photography question, more graphic design, but I dont know where else I can find this out quickly.

Over the weekend I did up all of the artwork for a tradeshow booth for my company. This was my first real big graphic design project and I am very satisfied with the results. I decided to do it as part of my job as I didnt know how long it would take or what to charge for something like this. This is where my question lies.

The details of the project are:

3 32x 85in vertical displays with 75% origional artwork
6 3.5x 8.5in cards again with 75% origional artwork
3 Business Cards .. as above

The displays will be printed on a vinyl like like a projection screen and the cards on regular full colour card stock.

In this instance since with printing costs seperately, what would have been the cost for the artwork?

As well, what would be the cost for the artwork for just the banners and just one banner. With this experience, I have have the opportunity to do others like this but do not know how much they are worth.

It took me about 30 hours to do everything. My computer is a little slow and I am still learning all the sortcuts to Illustrator.

Any help would be appreciated.

Being new, you cannot really worry about the hours. At this level, simply chalk that up to getting experience and portfolio work. Having said that, I'd probably say the work is worth something in the area of $300-500 for the artwork just based on what you've said. (sight unseen)Of course, this is completely subject to quality and what you've truly put together. If you're doing the printing (wasn't quite clear), just tack that on top of something in the lower end. Normally, (when you're up to speed) you should charge between $75-125/hr. (on average) but that would be based on professional real-world graphic designers that would probably do what you did in about 3-5 hours.

In this instance, I was just providing graphic design as part of my regular job. I was just interested in how much it would have cost to source it out. As well, I have the opportunity to produce something very simmilar to my wifes company and it would be a contract so I would have to provide them a quote.
